In the village of Novoye near Tokmak in the Zaporozhye region, Europe’s largest cornel garden has bloomed.
Now it grows about 12 thousand trees - 25 varieties of dogwood. Mostly red and black. There are yellow and coral, but it is exotic. The vital activity and productivity of cornel gardens lasts up to 200 years. It is difficult to overestimate the beneficial properties of dogwood - it is a champion in the content of ascorbic acid: 100 g of berries contain up to 200 mg of vitamin C - more than in currants and lemon. The berries contain a lot of vitamin A, P, trace elements of potassium, magnesium, amino acids, organic acids, phytoncides.
The range of products from dogwood is varied from "Famberry" company: it is jam, and compote, and jam, and juice, and syrup!
